Carin Goldberg
Bio:
Carin Goldberg was born in New York City and studied at the Cooper Union School of Art. She began her career as a staff designer... at CBS Television and CBS Records before establishing her own firm, Carin Goldberg Design, in 1982. Over the following two decades, Carin designed hundreds of book jackets for every major American publishing house. In recent years, her image making has expanded to publication design, brand consulting, poster design and illustration. In 2012, The Cooper Union awarded Carin the Augustus-Saint Gaudens Award for professional achievement in art. In 2009, she was awarded the prestigious AIGA Gold Medal as well as the The Cooper Union President’s Citation for ‘exceptional contributions to the field of graphic design. Carin teaches Typography, Editorial Design, Senior Thesis and Design History at the School of Visual Arts in New York and is one of the first recipients of the Art Directors Club Grandmasters Award for Excellence in Education (2008). She is currently the Cynthia Hazen Polsky and Leon Polsky Rome Prize Fellow, 2014-15 at The American Academy in Rome.Read More
