karlssonwilker inc. is the New York-based design studio of Hjalti Karlsson and Jan Wilker specializing in identity and branding, environmental and experiential design, digital animation, graphics, and... print for clients who appreciate an innovative and non-traditional approach to design. Hjalti and Jan started karlssonwilker inc. in 2000 and quickly became harbingers of progressive design. They collaborate directly and closely with their clients to create work that is internationally recognized and awarded. karlssonwilker’s output is engaging and unexpected, and satisfies clients’ marketing objectives. Hjalti Karlsson is from Reykjavík, Iceland. He studied at Parsons The New School for Design and has been working in New York for the past 20 years. In 2013, Hjalti was the recipient of the highest-endowed design prize in the world, the Torsten and Wanja Söderberg Prize that acknowledges outstanding Nordic designers. Hjalti is a member of AGI (Alliance Graphique Internationale). Jan Wilker is from Ulm, Germany. He received his masters at the State Academy of Art and Design in Stuttgart, Germany and came to New York in 2000. Jan frequently lectures about design and has taught at the School of Visual Arts, Parsons The New School for Design, and Cooper Union. Jan is a member of AGI (Alliance Graphique Internationale).
