Design you can feel before you even touch it. The Graphis Packaging Awards honor the most thoughtful, beautiful, and innovative packaging solutions from around the world. Whether the goal is shelf appeal, sustainability, storytelling—or all three—great packaging goes beyond function. It shapes perception, builds identity, and deepens connection between product and consumer.

For over 80 years, Graphis has celebrated excellence in design. If your packaging work turns heads, evokes emotion, knocks it out of the ballpark in sales, or tells a story with structure and surface, it belongs here.

All entries are featured on the Graphis website, viewed by millions of designers, clients, and brands around the world. Platinum, Gold, and Silver winners are also published in the Graphis Packaging Annual—a permanent archive of global design excellence.

Whether for luxury goods, everyday essentials, or category-defining launches, this competition celebrates packaging that connects—through form, function, and unforgettable brand expression.

 

Eligibility

• Open to professional designers, design firms, agencies, and brands.
• Work must have been created, published, or launched within the past two years.
• All work must be created for real clients. Spec work or mock-up packaging is not eligible.
• Entries that violate intellectual property rights, use AI without disclosure, or contain harmful or exploitative content will be disqualified.
• Judges may move entries between categories at their discretion. All decisions are final.
• Student work is not eligible for this competition and should be submitted to the New Talent Annual Competition.

AI-Assisted Work

Any entry incorporating AI-generated visuals, text, or conceptual development must be entered in the AI category.

Your creative brief must clearly explain:
How AI was used
Your role in directing, shaping, or refining the outcome
What makes the final result yours

Entries lacking meaningful creative input will be disqualified. We honor the role of evolving tools—but we award the creativity behind them.

Platinum and Gold winners receive full-page presentations in the Graphis Packaging Annual.
Winners are permanently archived at Graphis.com and promoted across blog, email, and social channels.

Jury

Entries to the Graphis Packaging Awards are judged by top-tier creative leaders from the world’s most respected design studios, agencies, and branding firms. Our jurors include experts in structural packaging, branding, and consumer experience who understand the nuance of form, material, and shelf impact.

Each judge is selected for their creative insight, global perspective, and proven design excellence. Judging is blind, and all decisions are based on originality, execution, and communication strength.
