Featured in Graphis Journal #385, a masterpiece of modern yacht design, The Gentleman’s Yacht by the Italian Sea Group, LUCA DINI Design & Architecture, and Yacht Moments redefines nautical sophistication through artistry, innovation, and heritage. Blending refined craftsmanship with forward-looking sustainability, this fleet captures the essence of maritime elegance—where each vessel becomes a seamless dialogue between tradition and modern design.

The Gentleman’s Yacht, with its striking dark-hulled presence, emerges as a refined expression of nautical design, shaped through a collaboration between the Italian Sea Group, LUCA DINI Design & Architecture, and Kurt Lehmann’s Yacht Moments. This semi-displacement yacht line reinterprets a classically inspired silhouette into a softer, more modern form, embodying Italian elegance. Inside, the cabin unfolds as a gallery of contemporary design, where sustainable woods and high-grade metals, enriched by the warmth of polished mahogany, honor yacht-building’s artisanal heritage while embracing an environmental ethos. Accommodating up to 12 guests, the cabin’s layout opens to natural light through expansive panoramic windows, their glass surfaces adding elegance across five sizes—24m, 30m, 33m, 44m, and 55m. The fleet stands as a testament to the artistry of yacht-making, where heritage and innovation converge on the open water.

The exterior captivates with its distinctive lines, where a deep blue hull accented by a red beauty line—a historical nod to classics like the M/Y TM Blue One—lends a bespoke character that feels both nostalgic and contemporary. Luca Dini’s timeless vision integrates polished mahogany along the elegant flanks, its rich grain catching the light with a warm glow, while wide side corridors invite seamless walks from bow to stern, evoking the grandeur of the iconic yachts of the 1960s. Crafted from aluminum, the hull balances weight and strength, its sleek form gliding through waves with understated grace, the wake trailing behind like a delicate brush stroke on the ocean’s canvas, reflecting the sea’s ever-changing hues.

The cockpit, framed by these views, transforms from a space for lively gatherings to a quiet retreat under the stars, its versatility blending nature with design in a way that feels intimate and boundless. Performance and aesthetics intertwine through hydrodynamic principles that shape the hull, its wake revealing a harmony of efficiency and stability. Hybrid and fully electric propulsion systems introduce sustainable seafaring, their quiet hum complementing the vessel’s elegance, allowing the sounds of the waves to take center stage. Navigation systems, with their intuitive interfaces, reflect a fusion of art and science, simplifying the complexities of the open water while maintaining a minimalist aesthetic that prioritizes clarity and function.

Each Gentleman’s Yacht stands as a bespoke creation; its individuality is mirrored in a custom-made tender limousine that echoes the yacht’s lines and finishes in miniature form. This personal expression captures the spirit of maritime exploration, rooted in a legacy of craftsmanship that feels alive with every voyage. The Picchiotti Fleet invites reflection on the dialogue between tradition and modernity, where every curve, material, and detail tells a story of design evolution. In an industry where detail reigns, the Gentleman’s Yacht presents a thoughtful synthesis of art, engineering, and heritage. It stands as a moving canvas of modern design, its form gliding across the sea with quiet confidence, inviting admiration for the vision that shapes its aesthetic and purpose—a testament to the enduring beauty of innovation on the water.

About Picchiotti

Picchiotti’s saga is deeply rooted in Tuscan history, with the first historical documents mentioning the Picchiotti name recorded in 1575 as authorized boat builders in the village of Limite sull’Arno. Since then, the company has been closely linked to the Italian seafaring tradition. It is a maritime heritage that, ranging from workboats to ocean sailing ships or military vessels, has led to the birth of the modern yachting era, releasing the very first leisure yacht ever built in Italy in 1902. This tradition takes on new life today, with Picchiotti now part of the Italian Sea Group, one of the largest companies in the international yachting industry.
