The members of the art department faculty are not only committed teachers but passionate artists. Each year, these artists/teachers show their work in competitions and exhibitions in various regional and national arenas. The faculty also mentor students spiritually as they integrate their faith into every aspect of their lives, including teaching and art. ACU art and design department graduates continue to find success in their chosen careers as the trend toward postgraduate studies in areas of artistic specialization increases. Employment opportunities, particularly in graphic design, escalate each year. The computer is becoming as indispensable an artist’s tool as the traditional brushes, paint and pencils. It is an exciting time to be an artist.
