There are two creative layers in this typeface design.
1. The typeface itself
Only minimum number of circles, rectangles and triangles of the same size are used as building blocks to construct the shape of all the characters. Inspired by the typeface “Squares Circles”, an alternative approach is taken to exploit graphical and aesthetic functionality of fundamental geometric shapes.
2. Metaphorical overlay
When the alphabets are lined up, it looks like a cage. Designers live in a cage with a variety of limitations. Yet, inside the cage, they can manifest unlimited creativity. And in occasions, they break it open.
