For this project, I created and produced an identity mark and a series of illustrations and package designs for core brands as well as brand extensions. Oikos is a brand that espouses inclusivity and a healthy lifestyle. The primary goal of the packaging and rebrand is to encompass health, pleasure, and joy through the use of illustration, typography, color, and, layout.
Oikos products are described as the essential ingredient to make healthy comfort food after a long busy day. The visual language of this rebrand and packaging reflects delight and a sense of calmness. In working on the product illustrations I thought about how I could portray the greek aesthetic without using the stereotypical geometric motifs and lettering. My solution was to create a series of stylized botanical and character illustrations, inspired by Greek mythology. I paired the organic forms with a simple geometric sans serif typeface to balance out the ornate forms. This contemporary approach helps the brand appeal to a wider range of audiences and stand out against its competitors.
