In this maximalist approach, I wanted to capture the essence of Golden Bee's bleeding-edge historical aesthetic. Or, as president and curator Serge Serov asserts, "as a generator of professional innovations, a space for plastic experiments and art’s development...for the audience the poster is increasingly becoming a tool for the understanding of the time, a manual for creative thinking, a source of joy and inspiration.” Layering chrome-induced text, random illustrations, and surface upon surface of doodles, stock imagery, and digital notations, my poster is reflective of the 30 layered years of the Golden Bee. The large "30" anchoring the center of the composition is both evident and disguised, representing the depth of this remarkable poster event.
