The posterwas developed to socialize the drought problems suffered for many countriesaround the world. Many issues of different kind affect the lack of waterproblem, from global warming to local misuse of public water networks. Thisposter aims to communicate —and remember— that it is possible to reduce the useof water, both in-home and public services.

The conceptwas simple: “Just use the water that you need”. The image should be simple, legible,and easy to understand no matter the language. The solution was designed mixing two standard signs: the drop of water and thescissors cut line. The first gives the context of water and the second its wayof use, part by part, showing to the observer the possibility to use less waterthan the minimum unit —a drop—. The most significant thing present in thisposter is the clash of contexts, two symbols commonly used in differentcontexts, but never together, now constructing one new and single message.

The poster won the 3rd prize in the EcoPoster / Ecological Problems category atthe Golden Turtle Wildlife Festival 2019. It was exhibited on the Festival, in Moscow and St. Petersburg, among other visual pieces, also it was published in theFestival’s art book “Wildlife: Best artworks from across the world”.
