Our class assignment was to design an entrepreneurial idea and design branding for an innovative product or service. Each student needed to consider the relationship between potential markets, communication design, and the end-users. Each designer prototyped an original brand through a design system that visualized the concept.
My approach toward the assignment explored various ideas and eventually landed on a concept that I named BEAM. The BEAM brushing system connects parents and children through healthy dental activities by creating positive oral hygiene habits. BEAM engages children by incentivizing regular brushing with rewards earned through an interactive app on the parent's mobile device. BEAM benefits parents by instilling learned routines for children and with children by making brushing fun with the promise of a happy and healthy smile.
The logo was well received in class and met the objectives outlined in the creative brief.
