We were approached by DDB Paris with a carte blanche brief to illustrate their new brand positioning and slogan "Unexpected Works" in a colourful, creative, bold typographic way. The idea was to create a lush, fun looking poster that would catch the eye, resonate as artistic rather than commercial, with an intriguing and exciting feel.
As part of our creative process, we’re firm believers in embracing artistic exploration and experiments, happy accidents & making the unexpected work - so this commission definitely resonated with us. We created this artwork through playful exploration - having fun with lettering and fluid dynamics, mixing various real life and digital elements.
The campaign was a big hit, a collection of typographic posters being featured on billboards and "affichage sauvage" posters in unexpected places, and accompanied by huge press covering for their new branding launch.
