The assignment initiated a relaunch of a historic Nashville restaurant that sells Southern comfort food. The restaurant sold favorites such as barbecue, green beans, and of course, their famous homemade pies. The business was established in 1922 in a trolley car that became known as a pie wagon. The customers for this business are Nashville locals and tourists looking for a taste of Nashville's history. The goal of the rebrand was to capture the quaint, hospitable, and traditional personality for a revitalization of this beloved local establishment.
I wanted to create a logo that appealed to the tradition and authenticity of the business and referenced the location near Music Row. The logo combines the visual references of a pie, trolley car, and the horizontal lines of a musical staff. The colors of the logo represented the warm colors of baked goods.
The logo was well received in class and met the objectives outlined in the creative brief.
