INO works in optics—the properties of light. We drew a parallel between the applications of optics in everyday life and the omnipresence of the sun by giving the sun a starring role in the report: that of making it readable.
Photochromic ink was used for some headings and pictures. A QR code that can only be read in sunlight links to a UNESCO text proclaiming 2015 to be the International Year of Light and Light-based Technologies.
- Every year we strive to stun our clients with the artistry and techniques we use to illustrate our annual report, and they say this year was no exception. Many attendees went to stand near a window during the meeting to see the ink react in the sunlight.
- INO’s clients and partners felt that using the sensitive ink captured INO’s innovative spirit.
- This light-activated innovation was the perfect showcase for INO’s technology because a number of INO’s clients use light to detect assembly line anomalies and production defects—a parallel that made a big impression on one and all.
