Assignment
Focused on the intersection of business and design, our newest publication taps the collective intelligence of our global team, providing a quick and comprehensive guide to market trends that will matter to our clients in the years ahead.
As a global design firm, Gensler works with a cross section of the world economy. This provides us insight into the issues driving change across our markets.
Approach
Tapping into Gensler’s various resources and global expertise of cities and regions, we produced six meta-trends that are shaping the future of design. Leaders across Gensler’s 27 practice areas were responsible for researching these global trends and how they will affect the future of their clients’ businesses and their local communities. Understanding this will help our clients achieve higher performance through future focused design.
The photography represents the best-of-the-best in capturing Gensler’s breadth of projects that showcase our portfolio and capabilities towards innovative and influential design. These projects showcase our global reach, which is reflective of our company’s global network of diverse talent. Each graphic element has a function and form that engages our audience and helps to communicate our story. The graphics are a vehicle linking the trends and project work to the readers in a way that will resonate with them on a human level.
For the first time, Gensler’s Design Forecast 2015 was published in two languages, English and Mandarin.
Results
The Design Forecast 2015 has a circulation of 35,000 copies. Its recipients include the firm’s clients, industry professionals, the media and students. This publication creates an occasion, across the firm, to host events, connect with clients and continue their dialogue. We continue to build from the forecast on multiple media channels, our website and blog, with additional content. Now in its third year, it has become increasingly visible as a forecast for the future of design.
