Designer Christine Wang is anxious and angry about the growing violence against Asian Americans as the pandemic continued to flourish, decided to pair with stopaapihate organization that works with Asian American and Pacific Islander communities (AAPI) to find a way to highlight this violence, as well as its effect on the community.
The small type in the posters represents time. If you don't slow down and see all the details, you will miss the voices of the portraits in the posters. Wang hopes through her design, the shadows in the hearts of the victims can be portrayed so people can ponder the depth of the harm that racial discrimination has brought to others.
