The goal for my project is to create a powerful identity to separate Coinbase and place it above the competition when it comes to Virtual crypto wallet/market portfolio platforms. With the current market being flooded Coinbase needs to stand out. The ability to have an identity is crucial in a market of fierce competition worldwide and the current wordmark doesn’t do the company justice.
Keeping the wordmark format, the new identity boldly stands out as a mark of quality, and assurance. I used this as an inspiration for the entire identity design. From the building front to the credit card design, I translated the same qualities and strengths of the logo onto all the assets I created.
The biggest success is that this new visual system captures a new feeling of legitimate, simple (crypto)currency exchange. That element will keep Coinbase as a brand ahead in this booming new world of crypto. This brand identity includes everything you want a large financial institution to present, clarity, simplicity, and quality. These feelings are created within the consumer, the employees, and the public.
