My professor assigned a project to create a new logo for a client that we thought related to love. I landed on Huggies Diapers because it takes a LOT of love to want to change a diaper. A lot. The goal was to make the logo communicate "love" simply and conceptually.
The name "Huggies" immediately made me want to create a soft, squishy logo that felt like a big, warm hug. I sketched plenty of clouds and iterations of diaper pins, but eventually decided on a simple embrace between the "h" and the "u." I also sought out a simple rounded sans-serif typeface in lowercase format to emphasize the playful and youthful tone of the brand.
Although this was not actually presented to Huggies, my professor and the professional he asked to come critique the logos both appreciated the joyful simplicity and clarity of what I created.
