This project's goal was to create a poster for the La Brea Tar Pits and museum, located in Los Angeles.

One of the most commonly-known animals of the Ice Age is the sabertooth tiger, and La Brea specializes in both excavating and displaying Ice Age fossils on-site, most of which are animal skeletons. The poster combines the recognizable image of a sabertooth tiger skull with the museum's location, using the shape of California as the skull's jawbone.

By using imagery rather than a type-based approach, the poster grabs the eye better.
