ideaforia.com unveils creative & academic projects, artwork, photography, animation, concept and exhibit designs, Imagination Workshops and proposals enthused by Gravity Free & Reality Independent ideation. As... an artist/designer/director I created imaginative concepts, designs, art, innovative solutions, proposals and short animated films for: MTV, SCI-FI, Smithsonian, Nickelodeon, ABC, NBC, Ajinomoto, VIASA, PBS, HBO, AT&T, NGS, FX/M, UNICEF, BIC, Noggin, Showtime, Sesame and others. Many won international awards for creativity, innovation, imagination and originality. SIGGRAPH Electronic Theatre presented 3 of my short films, others won at many international festivals. I am a recipient of the prestigious Guggenheim Fellowship and Jerome Foundation grant. My photography was exhibited at MvVO Arts ‘20 @ the Oculus, Westfield World, NYC. I just presented @ the EIS ’21 Emerging Innovation Summit in Australia: Imagine: https://vimeo.com/594122122/d2fca8a306 In Oct I will exhibit my art, photography, drawings, and a Master Class @ the Qatar International Art Festival. In May 2022 I am invited to VillaR Artist in Residence, in Sicily. In the academic career I designed, directed, consulted to and established new creative programs at: Pratt; Columbia U; RMCAD where I founded “International Animation” and ASIFA-CO; and CCS where I was granted full professor. Invited by NTU, I spearheaded curriculum and building design for the new School of Art, Design & Media, and also oversaw launch of the School of Technology for the Arts, both in Singapore. As Visiting Professor I was invited to Kadir Has, Istanbul; Kyoto University, Japan and, as endowed KoGuan Chair, to Beijing University. In both creative and academic projects, I forever focus on inspiring imagination, self-discovery, experimentation, ideation sparking empowerment and hunger for creative self-expression. In USA, I joined a team envisioning a new University of Interactivity, Design, Entertainment Arts & Sciences, shaping its curricular vision distinguishing it by focus on rousing student’s imagination through my “gravity & reality independent” outlook endowed by current and future technologies perceived as their “magic wand”. I see imagination as the Origin of inspiration, individuality, ideation, innovation and invention. Imagination Workshops I conduct explore Creator’s sways in probing ideas, metamorphic stories, worlds of un-realities and ways of visualizing them. These I’ve conducted in: Germany, Malaysia, Poland, Singapore, Korea, UAE, Costa Rica, Venezuela, Hong Kong, Japan, Israel, Netherlands, Turkey, Sweden, China, Cuba, USA. Travel has exposed me to new cultures, outlooks, lifestyles and realities enriching and inspiring my passion for photography. Without post-editing, stitching or processing, I seek to transform actuality into surreal unrealities and parallel dimensions defying our perception. My photography from Ireland, Peru, Thailand, Taiwan, Oman, Cambodia, Morocco, Lebanon, Jordan, France and Spain seeks exhibiting and publishing. Seamlessly fusion reality & virtuality into a dimension unbridling imagination, I design concepts probing new horizons and ways to entertain, learn, design exhibits, perform, play or fuse interactivity, VR or AR into the “magic wand” inspiring us to envision fantastic "un-realities" as far reaching as our imagination propels us. Within them, by controling chemical & physical properties of one’s worlds, we become the ultimate Creator.
